HBR FFA members have stayed busy this Winter through a verity of events and classroom activities! The middle school celebrated the holidays with a Christmas Party; the high school made gifts for Prairie Crossing; community members showed support through the purchase of a tree, wreath, or porch pot; HBR FFA donated poinsettias to the Hinckley Public Library for the Giving Tree families; students had fun at our chapter meetings; Entrepreneurship visited South Moon and spoke to Fran Kriesch to learn about their businesses; Pipestone Farms graciously donated to our HBR FFA chapter; and we participated in the Vet Science CDE! The HBR FFA Alumni held their annual meeting on 1/12, highlighting our fundraising efforts, HBR FFA Alumni Building, and more.

Upcoming we have a HS meeting on 2/11 during lunch and MS meetings on 2/5 and 2/19 @7:45am in the Science Lab. National FFA Week will be celebrated 2/17-2/20; recognizing the students, staff, and others that continue to support FFA within our community. The Hinckley-Big Rock chapter of the National Honor Society is sponsoring a "Parent Date Night" event THIS WEDNESDAY, February 4th, from 6:00-8:00 PM. You can drop your child(ren) off at the high school for an evening of fun activities while you and your spouse can enjoy an early Valentine's Day celebration or just have some peaceful time together at home. This event is intended for children ages 12 and below. The cost for a child to attend is $10, with the attendance of each additional child costing only $5 each. Activities include coloring and a movie in the high school library and chances to play basketball, throw a football or frisbee, or use the scooters or hula hoops in the high school's large gym. Snacks and beverages will be available for the kids in the library. If you are interested in this event, please RSVP HERE.
