
Student Leaders and Teachers met to plan the April 28th HBRHS Community Service Day. Projects include helping at local libraries, Farm Friends in Big Rock, community and forest preserve trash pick-up, sewing/knitting, food panty, and school grounds landscaping. #WeAreHBR






Mrs. Rich's Foods students competed in Burger Wars, whipping up their secret recipes to impress the student and faculty judges. That room smelled like summer and tasted like success! #WeAreHBR

Tonight was the 64th annual FFA Awards program. This year's seniors wrote and delivered the keynote address. They did an awesome job capturing the twists and turns of their journey over the past four years. There is much to be proud of with our FFA students and program! #WeAreHBR


Our final parent-athlete meeting of the year is tonight at 6:30pm at the high school. Please join Mrs. Halverson if you haven't attended a meeting yet and your student is planning to participate in a spring sport!


The banquet will be held on Wednesday March 8, 2023, in the main gym at Hinckley-Big Rock High
School beginning at 5:00 p.m.


Parents are invited to our 3rd Conversation and Connection Meeting in the HBRHS library at 6:00 pm on March 14th. Student vaping is on the rise across the nation and in our community. Insights about vaping will be shared by speakers from Northwestern Medicine. Please join us.


Senior Bridget Wilkening was a panelist at a CTE conference hosted at Waubonsee this morning. She shared about her skill development and personal growth through her FFA supervised agricultural experiences (SAE) and record book. Nice work Bridget! #WeAreHBR #RoyalPride

Our Royals basketball team fell 59-49 in a hard-fought sectional game. Battled back from down 12 to cut the lead to 2 with 3 minutes to play but just couldn’t get one more basket. A tough loss tonight, but congratulations to our Royals for a great season! #WeAreHBR #RoyalPride

Victory! Our Royals basketball team put on a show in front of the hometown crowd topping Rochelle Zell 57 to 18 for the regional championship! They join our Lady Royals with a regional victory for both boys and girls for only the fourth time in HBR history. #RoyalPride #WeAreHBR



Reading a book in Spanish! Mrs. Lopez's Spanish 2 students are reading a novella, "Daniel El Detective," in class to sharpen their comprehension and fluency skills --further developing and applying these literacy skills in another language. #WeAreHBR
