Snake Road Outdoor Education Program

The 6th graders had the opportunity to adventure to Snake Road for our usual overnight trip this year.  Our students had the freedom to escape the stresses of everyday life and disconnect from technology for a few days. The outdoor education program at Snake Road is student-centered to enhance their learning and growth together, ultimately creating a closely bonded class community through their shared experiences. These activities included team building, problem solving, hiking, archery, swimming, canoeing, high ropes courses, rock climbing, and zip-lining.

The Snake Road Outdoor Education program provides a powerful team building experience which allows our students to build relationships, challenge themselves, build confidence, and gain independence.  This is my favorite field trip of the year, because it allows me to build relationships with my students and support them when needed.  I am always amazed by our students GRIT.  I would like to thank all of our wonderful volunteers that helped chaperone the sixth grade trip this year.  It would not have been possible without you!  Can’t wait till next year! -Mrs. Stanislao
