To PEP us up about Winter Sports, HBRHS had its annual Winter Sports Pep Assembly honoring volleyball and basketball players, saluting senior students of the month, and offering a half-court freethrow contest. See you at the games! #WeAreHBR

District 429 Police Liaison Officer Brian visited Mrs. Halverson's Drivers Education class to talk with our soon-to-be drivers, providing advice and answering questions. Students had many questions and hopefully will reference this experience when behind the wheel. #WeAreHBR

CUPCAKE WARS! Mrs. Rich created some competition for her Intro to Foods classes. Students judged their peers' masterpieces for taste and presentation. Here are some sweet winners! #WeAreHBR

Mrs. Sanderson and a group of FFA students presented "a year in review" for the Board of Education tonight. Our students spoke about the skill and character development that they experience through their participation in the FFA, the benefits of the National Convention, and their appreciation for Mrs. Sanderson's leadership. #RoyalPride

Several HBRHS students who attend IVVC visited the Apprenticeship Expo at the Aurora Painters Council, learning how to begin apprenticeships for on-the-job learning with pay after high school. An enlightening experience learning about a valuable post-secondary option! #WeAreHBR

The Hinckley Area Food Pantry won a grant through the DeKalb County Community Foundation! Daveyon Bradley awarded HBRHS with the check to help finance items we need for the Free Store--so we can pass them onto our students. #WeAreHBR

We took the opportunity to honor our veterans today with a Veterans Day assembly at HBRHS. Thank you to each veteran who was able to be in attendance. We are grateful for your service and sacrifice. #WeAreHBR #RoyalPride

Thursday evening HBRHS Student Council hosted Game Night with over 60 attendees participating in volleyall, gaga ball, 9-square-in-the-air, and giant yard games. Much fun was had by all with a perfect balance of competition and community! #WeAreHBR

Mrs. Rich brought 6 HBRHS Educators Rising students to read "Nigel and the Moon" to 16 classrooms Oct. 26th at HBRES for Jumpstart's Read for the Record. HBRHS students taught lessons about taking pride in where we come from and having the confidence to believe in our dreams.
