It's not too early to think about Spring! Please save the date(s) for our annual Spring Sing events! EC- 2nd grade will perform on 3/16. Our 3rd - 5th grades will perform on April 20th. Both events will be in the evening, at HBR High School. More details to follow- we look forward to these events!

🎊Happy New Year to all of our HBR families!🎊 We hope you’re having a wonderful Winter break!

Our students are doing SO many exciting things & learning so much in the process. Today, our 3rd graders built gingerbread houses after calculating the materials’ costs. Our choir & student council members went to an area nursing home to sing carols, learning the importance of giving back. And we had an EC student notice our tattered flag- so she and her dad brought a new one today and taught our Cub Scouts & EC students about the American flag, how to care for the old one, and how to raise the new one. We are so grateful for all of the experiences our students have to learn every day!

January Menu

On Friday, we had a very special visit from the Lutheran Church Charities K-9 Comfort volunteers. They brought some sweet dogs for all of our students to visit. These dogs have helped in places like Sandy Hook & Joplin, MO. What a treat for us and the volunteers to see our students so happy and excited to spend time with the dogs. We hope they’ll come back soon. We loved having them!

We had a great day at Whoville today! Lots of Grinch sightings along with Cindy Lou Who, Max and others. We are feeling the excitement of Winter Break!

Our HBR staff love getting to visit our classes. Enjoy these pics of Mrs. Willey & Dr. McGuire in PE and Dr. McGuire reading and building with blocks in kinder!

Our students are so creative! Check out some of these festive headgears & Santa hats!

We are learning lots this week- and having fun! Enjoy some moments captured of our festive students and staff- yesterday was Candy Cane day and today is Santa's Workshop Day - dress like an elf or wrap yourself like a present! Tomorrow is a Santa hat or Tree topper Day! All students can wear a Santa hat or any festive headgear.

We are going to celebrate the days leading up to the holidays in style! Join us for Holiday Spirit Days!
Monday, December 12th is Candy Cane Day- wear red & white!

Our 1st graders wrapped up a literacy unit on the body today. They were busy doctors doing some very serious operations! 🩺🩻🧠

This month we’ve been talking a lot about gratitude. Our 3rd graders, with Student Council’s help, made a gratitude wall that each person contributed to. It’s a colorful reminder of just how much we have to be grateful for! #HBRThankful
